About Smart Move Moving & Storage
Smart Move Moving and Storage has been part of the Tucson community for more than 30 years. We run our moving and storage operation from our office at 3580 W Ina Rd on the northwest side, and our trucks are on the road every day between midtown, Oro Valley, Marana, the Catalina Foothills, Vail, Sahuarita, and Green Valley. Our quotes spell out exactly what’s included, so there’s nothing to decode on move day.
This is still a family business. The phone is answered by the people who own the company, and the movers who arrive at your door are Smart Move employees we hired and trained ourselves. Every Smart Move mover is full-time and completes a hands-on training program before working a job solo — lifting and carrying technique, dolly and strap use, stair and tight-doorway navigation, blanket-wrapping, truck loading, and home protection. Packing & unpacking services
Our packers use professional-grade boxes, dish packs, and wardrobe cartons, plus custom crating for mirrors, artwork, and glass tabletops. Hand off the whole house or office, or just the kitchen and other fragile rooms — every box is labeled by room so unpacking goes fast. Want it put away too? We'll unpack and haul off the empty boxes.
Labor-only loading & unloading
Already have a truck, trailer, or POD? Book our crew by the hour to load or unload it. We handle rental trucks, PODs and containers, storage units, and in-home moves when you just need heavy furniture shifted to another room or floor. You provide the vehicle; we bring the dollies, straps, and experience.
Specialty & heavy-item movers
Safes, pianos, and oversized pieces take the right gear and a crew that's done it before. We move gun safes and 500-plus-pound floor safes, upright and grand pianos, pool tables, gym equipment, antiques, and other high-value items — with the dollies, ramps, and padding to get them down stairs and through tight spaces without a scratch.

Students usually need quick, affordable moves that fit dorm and apartment move-in windows; seniors often need a slower, more careful pace and help downsizing. We coordinate timing with apartment complexes, HOAs, and assisted-living or 55+ communities, and we're glad to work room by room at whatever pace feels right.

Beyond wrapping your furniture, we protect the house itself — floor runners on high-traffic paths, padding on door jambs and banisters, and shrink wrap to keep drawers and doors shut in transit. Mattresses go in mattress bags, TVs and mirrors get boxed or crated, and every piece is set down exactly where you want it at the new home.
